DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by mental health counsellors\, this program offers trans and non-binary individuals of all ages a supportive space to share experiences\, build skills\, and connect around work\, job searching\, and related challenges. Join us for an enriching experience that combines career exploration\, skill development\, and personal growth in a supportive community setting. Complimentary dinner and TTC Tickets provided!  \nPeer Support Sessions will run once a month on a Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.\, starting December 10\, 2025 to February 2026.  \nDec. 10: Adjusting to the workforce as a queer/trans person and newcomer  \nJan. 14: Dealing with the frustrations of not hearing back  \nFeb. 11: Making friends in the workplace  \nRegister.

DESCRIPTION:Guest Facilitator: Rae Jardine (she/they)\, MA\, RSSW\, CC-PMH \nWorkshop Description: \nThis interactive session is designed for 2SLGBTQ+ expectant parents\, prospective parents and current parents who want to build strong\, sustainable support systems for themselves and their families. Grounded in community care and mental health-informed practice\, this workshop introduces Parent Pod Mapping as a practical and empowering tool to identify\, strengthen and sustain networks of care beyond the nuclear family. \nRecognizing that queer and trans families often parent within systems that were not built for us\, this session centres chosen family\, mutual aid and collective resilience as essential foundations for thriving families—whether you are preparing to welcome a child or already navigating the realities of parenting. \nParticipants will: \n\nLearn what Parent Pod Mapping is and why it matters for 2SLGBTQ+ expectant and current parents\nExplore the unique realities\, strengths and barriers queer and trans parents face when building and maintaining support networks\nReflect on how identity\, mental health\, capacity\, boundaries and life stage shape community care\nIdentify key people\, resources and roles within their current or envisioned parenting pod\nGain practical strategies to grow\, communicate with and sustain affirming\, flexible support systems over time\n\nThis is a supportive\, identity-affirming space that honors the diversity of 2SLGBTQ+ family structures\, caregiving models\, and parenting journeys.
