SUMMARY:Who’s Got You? Exploring Doula Care for 2SLGBTQ+ Families
DESCRIPTION:Date: Tuesday\, April 21\, 2026 \nTime: 6–8 p.m. \nGuest Facilitator: Doris Luna\, Full Spectrum Doula \nDescription: Doulas are often described as “extra support\,” but that doesn’t quite capture the depth of what they offer. They are steady\, knowledgeable companions through the emotional\, physical and relational shifts of the perinatal journey\, showing up not to direct your experience\, but to support you in moving through it on your own terms. So what does that actually look like\, and who is doula care really for? \nDoris is a Full Spectrum Doula who supports 2SLGBTQ+ families from conception through postpartum\, including fertility journeys\, birth and early parenting. Her role can include helping you prepare for what’s ahead\, offering grounding and advocacy in medical spaces\, supporting decision-making and holding space for the complex feelings that can arise along the way. \nIn this session\, we’ll explore the many ways doulas show up across the perinatal journey\, challenge common misconceptions and help you consider what kind of support feels right for you. Whether you’re just starting to think about family building or already on your path\, this is a space to learn how the right support can make your experience feel more informed\, connected and held.
