Manager, Clinical Administration and Privacy Officer

Belonging at Sherbourne means growing both personally and professionally and feeling connected to its values. I joined Sherbourne in 2003 as a Medical Secretary, when the organization was much smaller, with about 15 to 20 people working in the annex building. At that time, we were building a strong foundation by creating policies and procedures, establishing the new Family Health Team, planning for the launch of new program ARC (Previously known as Infirmary) and preparing for major changes, including training staff on electronic health records and PHIPA in 2004. 
 
Sherbourne has played an important role in shaping my career, especially in digital health. Over the years, I have had many opportunities to learn and grow, from leading EMR migrations and moving programs onto digital platforms to improving client access through tools like virtual care, online booking, and self check-in kiosks, while also supporting the organization in making data-driven decisions. As Sherbourne has grown from 15 employees to more than 160, so has my role as Manager, Health Information and Privacy Officer, which has made my experience very meaningful. 
 
What stands out most at Sherbourne are the people. I feel connected to our values and am proud to work with colleagues who show those values every day through compassionate, client-centered care. For over 23 years, I have come to work each day wanting to make a difference in the lives of our clients. I am especially thankful for the supportive leadership team, who is very inclusive and focused on staff wellbeing, professional growth, and improving care for marginalized communities. These shared values and relationships are what make Sherbourne feel like a place where I truly belong.
