Queer Families in Bloom: Planning, Parenting & Growing Together

Join us for a two-day workshop designed to support and empower 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and families at every stage of their journey. These workshops share lived experiences and expert insights in a welcoming community. It is a safe space to ask questions, share experiences and celebrate the diversity of queer families. Attendees are free to attend one or both days.

• Day 1: Family-Building Pathways for Prospective Parents (May 24, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) 
  • Explore options such as surrogacy, adoption, IVF, IUI and third-party reproduction. 
  • Navigate legal, financial and emotional considerations with expert speakers. 
  • Connect with healthcare providers, mental health professionals and other prospective parents.

  Day 2: Supporting and Celebrating Queer Families (May 25, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) 

  • Learn strategies for gender-affirming parenting and inclusive education. 
  • Discuss communicating with children about their origins and building resilience. 
  • Network with local organizations and other queer families for ongoing support.
