Trans and Non-Binary Career Connections
Career Connections offers a unique series of workshops and peer support sessions to consider the needs of the whole person while building employment skills.
Career Mapping Sessions are introductory workshops for trans and non-binary individuals of all ages exploring diverse career paths. Each session features a guest speaker who shares their career journey and practical advice. The sessions provide an opportunity to learn skills such as networking, resilience and adaptability that participants can apply across any career path.
Peer Support Sessions offer trans and non-binary individuals of all ages a supportive space to share experiences, build skills and connect around work, job searching and related challenges. Facilitated by a mental health counsellor, these sessions are informed by the lived experiences of participants and address the mental and emotional considerations of seeking employment.
Skills-Building Sessions provide guidance related to the legal and professional considerations of seeking employment. Led by guest speakers, these sessions empower trans and non-binary youth to bring their expertise and authentic selves to the workplace.
