Caroline is currently the Director, Strategy & Innovation at RBC Ventures. RBC Ventures is a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada that builds, invests in, powers and acquires ventures. In this role, she provides direction and strategic oversight for the lean growth of RBC ventures, and regularly reviews existing and new ventures to ensure ongoing compliance with RBC risk and legal. Prior to this role, Caroline was the Head of Investigations for RBC’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Unit wherein she led a national management team to mitigate money laundering and terrorist financing risk. Caroline has considerable experience in governance, particularly in the non-profit sector and is currently on the following Boards: Start Proud, an organization that provides resources and opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally (LGBTQA) students, young professionals and pro-LGBTQA organizations across Canada, and MADD Toronto, a charity with the mission to stop impaired driving and to support victims through awareness campaigns, victim/survivor support services and strategic partnerships. Caroline’s passion and commitment to advocating for equity and inclusion has informed her many professional and volunteer activities to date.
