Laura Pripstein

Dr. Laura Pripstein is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Staff Physician at Sherbourne Health. In 2019, Laura was recognized by the College of Family Physicians for contributions to Family Medicine practice by receiving the Fellowship designation (FCFP).

Laura is committed to providing wrap-around, holistic primary care for marginalized populations. She is deeply engaged in Sherbourne Health’s work in the community and focuses on strengthening coordination across the health system to ensure seamless transitions of care for patients with complex needs. She also represents Sherbourne within the broader health-care sector, contributing to regional planning and collaboration initiatives.

Laura serves on the Steering Committee of the Downtown East Toronto Primary Care Network within the Downtown East Toronto Ontario Health Team. She is also the Primary Care Lead for Seamless Care Optimizing the Patient Experience (SCOPE) at Unity Health Toronto within the DET-OHT.

Laura received her B.S. from the University of Michigan and her MSc and MD from the University of British Columbia. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto.
