Sherbourne welcomes a new onsite partner: construction to take place onsite
To Clients, Service Users and Visitors of Sherbourne Health,
There will soon be construction taking place on site at Sherbourne Health. This is to welcome a new Withdrawal Management Services (WMS) program operated entirely by St. Michael’s Hospital of Unity Health Toronto. This program will be located on the 5th and 6th floors of Sherbourne Health (333 Sherbourne St.).
Construction is expected to start in the summer of 2020 and conclude within 11-12 months. Construction timelines are occasionally subject to change, and we will provide ongoing updates accordingly.
Sherbourne Health was selected as the site for the relocated WMS because Unity Health Toronto already provides services in this neighbourhood, and because of Sherbourne’s central location in downtown Toronto. Our building size also enables St. Michael’s Hospital to house all of its withdrawal management services – residential, day and community programs – under one roof.
HOW WILL THIS AFFECT YOU?
A construction project of this size and nature will create some temporary disruptions such as additional noise, some office rearrangements, reduced parking, and construction equipment on and off-site. We will do everything possible to minimize these disruptions and ensure the safety of all staff, clients and visitors.
We will continue to provide further updates on developments as necessary, as new information becomes available.
