On July 23, 2022, the World Health Organization declared monkeypox a “public health emergency of international concern,” due to the rapid spread of monkeypox in many countries without prior reported cases.
As cases are increasing in Toronto, we urge our service users to be aware of monkeypox, signs of infection and if they meet eligibility for vaccination. We’ve gathered resources below for more information and encourage you to speak to your health care provider if you have concerns about monkeypox transmission.
