Trans and Non-Binary Career Connections: Building a Career as a Writer or Journalist

Career Mapping, under the Trans and Non-Binary Career Connections program, is for trans and non-binary individuals of all ages who want to explore possible career paths. Each session features a guest speaker sharing their journey, tips and the skills that helped them succeed. We focus on practical, transferable skills like networking, resilience and adaptability that can support you in any career.

In this session, we’ll be joined by Ashleigh-Rae, a writer and facilitator who has contributed to publications like CBC, Toronto Star, Broadview Magazine and Yahoo. Participants will learn about the journey to becoming a full-time or freelance writer.
